Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh lauds SJAL’s role for making Kabaddi World Cup 2020 a highly successful event

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh along with Director Admin Javed Chohan and Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti visited Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) office at National Hockey Stadium. President SJAL Aqeel Ahmed and Secretary Ashraf Ch warmly received Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director Admin Javed Chohan and Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti upon reaching SJAL office. Senior journalists Muhammad Yaqoob, Ali Hashmi, Sohail Imran, Ijaz Sheikh, Hafiz Shahbaz were also present on this occasion.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, on this occasion, lauded the role of Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) for making historic Kabaddi World Cup 2020 a highly successful event. “All the reporters and journalists of electronic and print media gave excellent coverage to Kabaddi World Cup 2020 matches under the banner of SJAL. The outstanding coverage of Kabaddi World Cup 2020 sent a positive message to international community besides promoting a soft image of the country,” he added.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said thousands of people visited venues of Kabaddi World Cup matches especially final due to extra-ordinary coverage from SJAL members. “The excellent coordination of Sports Board Punjab and Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) will continue in future as well,” he added.

Meanwhile, Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Asif Bajwa, head coach Kh Junaid and national hockey team physio Dr Asad Abbas also visited SJAL office at the same time and had a meeting with Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, while talking to PHF officials said that Sports Board Punjab is ready to extend every kind of assistance for the promotion of hockey. “Hockey is our national game and Pakistan has ruled the world hockey for several decades. We will utilise all resources for regaining of lost golry in hockey”.
