Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail announces cash prizes and appreciation certificates for TSOs to accelerate the process of club registration across the province

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail has announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for Tehsil Sports Officers (TSOs) to accelerate the process of club registration across the province.
Issuing directions to Tehsil Sports Officers on Monday, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that all Tehsil Sports Officers of the province should make effective efforts for the registration of sports clubs in their respective tehsils. “Sports Board Punjab has started the process of club registration at the tehsil level from October 10 in line with its constitutional obligation to promote sports at grassroots level”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that properly functional sports clubs played the role of backbone for the promotion of sports among the younger generation. “Tehsil sports officers should form new clubs and register existing clubs as well. All tehsil sports officers should present their performance reports regarding new clubs in the review meeting every Friday,” DG Sports Punjab advised.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the top 10 tehsil sports officers in terms of registration of existing clubs and formation of new clubs will be rewarded with cash prizes and appreciation certificates.
Meanwhile, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail has directed the officers concerned to best measures for swimmers and members in Punjab International Swimming Complex.
He said entry of non-related persons except swimmers, members and swimming clubs is prohibited in the swimming pool. SOPs should be fully implemented in Punjab International Swimming Complex, he directed
