Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada chairs SBP General Body meeting

Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada presided over the general body meeting of Sports Board Punjab at National Hockey Stadium. Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan, Head of Cricket Coaching Academies Sports Board Punjab Zaheer Abbas, Farzana Butt, former PHF President Olympian Akhtar Rasool, Olympian Kh Junaid, Awais Akbar and P&D and Finance Department officers also attended the meeting.
Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan gave detailed briefing to participants of general body meeting. Director Sports Muhammad Anees Sheikh presented the events of Annual Sports Calendar 2018-19. The arrangements and preparations of Inter-Division Punjab Open Boxing Championship and provision of wrestling mat to Divisional Sports Office, Gujranwala were also discussed during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada said Punjab govt has established modern facilities in all districts of Punjab during the last couple of years. Punjab govt gives special significance to sports. More steps will be taken to provide youth modern sports facilities in far flung areas of the province.
