Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman presided over an important meeting of provincial sports officers at National Hockey Stadium. Addressing the meeting Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman urged the newly-deputed coaches and consultants under the Chief Minister Talent Hunt Programme to trace fresh talent and produce national heroes by giving them modern training. The main purpose of our recently-held coaches training programme was to discover new talent. There’s no dearth of talent in our country. We just need to locate and polish the raw talent. He asked all the district and divisional sports officers to play their due role for the promotion of sports. The district and divisional sports officers must hold sports events in their respective areas besides improving their coordination with the local sports bodies.
