Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada chairs closing ceremony of coaches training camp

While adressing the closing ceremony of coaches training camp  Punjab Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada said that the first phase of coaches training programme of five sports has been completed under Chief Minister’s Talent Hunt Programme. These coaches have been selected purely on merit. He urged the coaches to train their players in a thorough professional manner so that they can win at least 5/6 medals in international competitions in future. He said: “Overall we will hold training camp for the coaches of nine games,”
Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman, in his address said International coaches will also be invited in future for the modern training of local coaches. “Coaches and consultants are being appointed in all districts and Sports Board Punjab is also introducing monitoring system to monitor the performances of these coaches and consultants,” he asserted. Unveiling his future target, DG SBP said: “After coaches training camp, our next target is National Games scheduled to be held in Quetta from October 7. The trials for the National Games will be held in the coming weeks”. He asked the newly-trained coaches to start preparation of National Games.
