While addressing a press conference Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman along with Head of the Cricket Academies Sports Board Punjab Zaheer Abbas at National Hockey Stadium said that Sports Board Punjab is organizing a grand Chief Minister Jashan-e-Azadi Inter-Academies Cricket Cup from August 5- 8 to celebrate this great occasion with full fervor. Head of the Cricket Academies Sports Board Punjab Zaheer Abbas, said eight SBP academies teams including six boys and two girls sides will take part in the Chief Minister Jashan-e-Azadi Inter-Academies Cricket Cup which will be played in T20 format. Two matches will be played daily. The winning team will be awarded Rs 50,000 while the runner-up team will pocket Rs 30,000. We are planning to hold this event every year in which a SBP XI will also e introduced.
