Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman congratulated SJAL on the successful holding of Badminton Championship. Sanaullah of Dunya TV and Ihtsham-ul-Haq of 92 News won the SJAL Badminton Championship 2017 U-50 and above-50 titles here at the Gymnasium Hall, Nishtar Park Sports Complex. As many as 34 players exhibited their prowess in the under-50 category while 18 participants showed their skills in the above-50 category of the event, which was organised by Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) in collaboration with Sports Board Punjab and Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF). Sanaullah emerged as under-50 champion after defeating Ibraheem Badees while Afzaal Chaudhry claimed the third position. Ihtsham finished first in the above-50 category by edging out Aqeel Ahmad in the final.
