Chief Minister Jashan-e-Azadi Inter-Academies Cricket Cup Sialkot Stallions, Lahore Falcons make winning start

In the opening T20 match, Sialkot Stallions defeated Rawalpindi Rams by a huge margin of nine wickets. Rawalpindi Rams accumulated 111 runs in 19.5 overs. Asif Khan scored 33 and Qadeer Khan contributed 30 runs for Rawalpindi Rams. Faizan Ghumman of Sialkot Stallions demonstrated wonderful bowling and finished with impressive figures of 5/23. Sialkot Stallions chased the target in the 16th over through a brilliant knock of Momin Waqar who struck unbeaten 62 runs. Abdullah Shafiq made useful 35 runs for the winning team. Faizan Ghumman was adjudged man of the match for his outstanding performance.
Lahore Falcons trounced Multan Tigers by five wickets in the second match of the day. Multan scored 121 runs while playing first. Usman Shafiq and Ikram Khan scored 30 and 21 runs respectively. Salman got 3/26, Sabir 2/27, Danial 2/26 and Rizwan 2/26 for Lahore. Lahore Falcons achieved the required runs in 19th over after losing only five wickets. Zahid Alam played the match-winning knock of 56 not out while Ramis Mustafa offered useful contribution of 29 runs. For Multan, Faraz Khan chipped in with 2/17. Later Zahid Alam was declared man of the match.
