Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman, who has relinquished charge of his office following his transfer, chaired a farewell meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Friday.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Admin Abid Shaukat, Director Youth Affairs M Fahad, Deputy Directors Zahoor Ahmed, Mirza Nadeem and other officials attended the farewell meeting in person while all divisional sports officers from across Punjab participated in the meeting online.
During the meeting, all the officers appreciated Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman’s five-month tenure and wished him success in his future assignments.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman said he had taken every possible step over the past five months to promote and develop sports in Punjab. He highlighted several key initiatives undertaken during his tenure, including the Pak-China Friendship Games, the Sports Endowment Fund and the Punjab Sports Card.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman said that all possible measures had been taken to improve and develop the sports sector across the province. “Vehicles would soon be provided to all divisional sports officers to facilitate their work”.
