Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman has presided over an important meeting to review preparations for the Chief Minister Punjab Youth Games 2026.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Sports Chand Perveen, Director Youth Affairs M Fahad, and Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed attended the meeting.
The officials concerned gave a comprehensive briefing on the planning and organisation of the CM Punjab Youth Games 2026 during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman said that the CM Punjab Youth Games will feature competitions at multiple levels, ranging from Union Councils to the Inter-Division stage, ensuring broad participation from across the province. “Sports competitions will also be organized among the educational institutions to encourage youth engagement and talent development”.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman said that millions of young athletes from across Punjab are expected to participate in the mega sporting event. “CM Punjab Youth Games 2026 will be organized in collaboration with the School Education Department, strengthening efforts to promote sports at the grassroots level”.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman informed that preparations for the successful conduct of the CM Punjab Youth Games have already begun. “This mega event will play a significant role in the promotion and development of sports across the Punjab province”.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman expressed his confidence that the Chief Minister Punjab Youth Games 2026 will help identify and nurture emerging talent in multiple games, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their abilities and pursue excellence in sports.
