Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman chaired an important meeting regarding human resource matters in the Punjab Sports Department.
The meeting held at the Punjab Stadium on Tuesday was attended by Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Director Admin Abid Shaukat, Director Sports Chand Perveen, Director Youth Affairs M Fahad and Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed.
During the meeting, several key decisions were taken to strengthen sports development across the province. The participants also reviewed the seniority list of officers and discussed other administrative matters.
Addressing the participants, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman announced that new Tehsil Sports Officers would be appointed through the Public Service Commission to improve sports administration and services at the grassroots level. “Qualified coaches would also be recruited across Punjab to strengthen training facilities and enhance athlete development”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman said that coaches played a vital role in the promotion and development of sports. “The government is committed to providing modern training opportunities for young athletes”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman further stated that ground staff would also be recruited in sports complexes and stadiums across Punjab to ensure better maintenance and management of sports facilities. “Comprehensive measures are being taken for the promotion of sports in Punjab”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman announced that several major sporting events, including the CM Punjab Schools Games would be organized to identify and nurture emerging talent in multiple games throughout the province.
