Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman said that Punjab Sports Department is working on world class projects for the development of sports across the Punjab province. He said this while chairing an important meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Friday.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Sports Chand Perveen and Director Youth Affairs M Fahad attended the meeting in person while all Divisional Sports Officers of Punjab participated in the meeting through video link.
All Divisional Sports Officers of the province briefed the meeting about what games are played and how many schemes are there in their respective divisions.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman said that effective steps are being taken for the development of sports across the province in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab. “The work is under way on sports development schemes in all divisions of the province”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman informed the meeting that there are 48 sports facilities in Lahore, 68 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 59 in Sargodha, 57 in Faisalabad, 55 in Multan while 41 sports facilities in Sahiwal.
