Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman has presided over an important meeting of Departmental Development Sub-Committee at the Punjab Stadium on Monday. A total of 9 sports and youth affairs schemes were approved in the meeting.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Director General Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Sajid Latif participated in the meeting in which officers of P&D and Finance Department were also present. DG PITB Sajid Latif and his team gave a briefing regarding e-sports and the establishment of the lab.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman said that open area gyms and play areas will be built in 500 parks across the Punjab province. “Chief Minister Khelta Punjab Health Insurance Card will also be issued under which top class health facilities will be provided to thousands of athletes”.
Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman further said that Chief Minister Youth Engagement Program is being launched. “We are going to start an e-sports program and establish E-Sports Lab. The participation in e-Sports World Cup 2026 is our target”.
Secretary Sports Punjab Fazlur Rehman said that Sports complexes and stadiums will be built in South Punjab. “The Chief Minister Punjab Free Kits program will also be started. Sports culture is being promoted across the province in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab”.
