Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali has said that several mega sports events are being organized in the ongoing month of April to trace fresh talented athletes from across the Punjab province.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali shared these thoughts while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of All-Pakistan Inter-Board Athletics Championship at the Punjab Stadium on Monday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. He also watched the thrilling athletics competitions and appreciated the sports skills of young athletes.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to Ataullah of Peshawar for demonstrating excellent performance in All-Pakistan Inter-Board Athletics Championship.
Ataullah set records in 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. He completed his 100-meter race in 10.56 seconds, 200 meters in 21.39 seconds and 400 meters sprint in 48.20 seconds.
Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that plenty of effective steps are being taken for the development of sports culture across the province in accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister. “It is quite fortunate that Punjab province has been blessed with immense sports potential and Punjab Sports Department is giving equal importance to all sports”.
