Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi presided over the important meeting at the National Hockey Stadikum on Thursday to review the preparations of upcoming mega sports events being organized in the ongoing month of April.
Director Admin Abid Shaukat, SP Model Town Jehandad, Director Sports Chand Parveen, and the officials of Police, Rescue 1122, Waste Management and other departments participated in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that best arrangements are being made for 21-km marathon, female athletes race, family fun race and cycling race. “The preparations of Chief Minister Punjab National Marathon, Cycling Race and Swimming Championship are being made in a best possible manner”.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi further said that Chief Minister Punjab Swimming Championship will be conducted in the middle of April. “We are quite confident that several new talented athletes will emerge from the swimming championship”.
