Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali has presided over an important meeting of Departmental Development Sub-Committee at the Punjab Stadium on Tuesday.
21 new sports development schemes were reviewed in the meeting which was attended by Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director PMU Sports Khalid Raza, Deputy Director Mirza Nadeem, Deputy Director Finance and P&D officers.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that the sports complex is being built in a modern style as part of SAF Games preparations. “Punjab Stadium will also be upgraded in a modern style where food court and shops will also be constructed ahead of mega SAF Games”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that modern sports grounds are being constructed in North and South Punjab at the cost of billions of rupees. “Punjab Sports Department is taking effective measures for the promotion of sports culture across the province”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that Punjab International Swimming Complex is being upgraded in modern style. “The Squash Complex is also in the final stages of completion. A modern Padel Tennis Courts is under construction at Nishtar Park Sports Complex”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali further said that a sports complex is being constructed in Tehsil Bhawana, District Chiniot. “Floodlights will be installed at Burewala Stadium and a Sports Indoor Hall will be constructed in Ahmedpur Sharqia, Bahawalpur”
