Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali has presided over an important meeting on Friday to review sports affairs, facilities and other relevant matters of Bahawalpur Division. Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema and Director Admin Abid Shaukat attended the meeting at the Punjab Stadium in person while Divisional Sports Officer Bahawalpur M Amir Hameed and District Sports Officers participated in the meeting through video link. The sports officers of Bahawalpur Division gave a briefing about the sports activities in Bahawalpur division during the last year and newly constructed and rehabilitated sports development schemes of this region. Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that best sports infrastructure has been established in Bahawalpur division. “Historic Dring Stadium Bahawalpur has been equipped with all modern facilities and the sports officers should put in maximum efforts to identify fresh talented athletes”. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali has directed the sports officers of Bahawalpur division to create suitable playing opportunities for maximum number of players in the grounds. He also instructed the officers to take effective measures to increase the revenue from sports facilities of Bahawalpur division.
