Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali has presided over an important meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Wednesday to review financial affairs, human resources sports issues and other matters of Rawalpindi Division in detail. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema and Deputy Director Planning Mirza Nadeem attended the meeting in person while Divisional Sports Officer Rawalpindi M Waheed, District Sports Officer Shams Tauheed Abbasi and all sports officers of the division participated in the meeting through video link. Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali said that the work is in progress on 13 sports development schemes in Rawalpindi. “Rawalpindi Division has the best sports infrastructure including several world class sports facilities and complexes”. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali directed the sports officers to make all possible efforts to incline youngsters to the grounds so that fresh talented athletes could be identified for future sports competitions. “It is obligation of all sports officers to utilize all sports facilities in the best possible manner”. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muhammad Ali instructed the sports officers to keep the grounds and other sports facilities including sports complexes and stadiums in the best possible condition. “Any negligence regarding the maintenance of sports facilities will not be tolerated and in this regard all issues should be resolved immediately without wasting any time”.
