Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has directed the officials concerned to complete the construction work of International Squash Complex and Punjab International Swimming Pool at Nishtar Park Sports Complex as early as possible.
He issued these directions during his visit to International Squash Complex and Punjab International Swimming Pool on Monday.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial was accompanied by Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, Additional Secretary Mian Usman Ali, Director Admin Abid Shaukat, Deputy Director Mirza Nadeem and PMU officer M Farhan during his inspection visit.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial inspected the work at the under-construction Squash Complex and both pools Punjab International Swimming Complex where the relevant officers briefed him about the status of construction work.
Talking on this occasion, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that the International Squash Complex is a world class sports venue equipped with all modern facilities. “The squash complex will play a key role in the promotion of squash game among the youth”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that said that the rehabilitation work at the Punjab swimming pool is underway and all the facilities are being upgraded at this state-of-the-art swimming pool. He directed the officials concerned to use quality material in the construction of both the projects.
