Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has visited different ADP Sports Development Schemes in Multan Division on Thursday.
Divisional Sports Officer Multan Manzar Shah Fareed, PMU officers and other officials were also present on this occasion. The officials concerned briefed the Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab about the progress of construction work of sports development schemes.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial inspected the construction of sitting steps and Toilet Block at Astroturf Hockey Ground Matital, construction of Multipurpose Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall and Rehabilitation and Completion of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Multan during his inspection visit. He also planted a sapling in the premises of Multan Sports Complex.
The Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab visited different parts of Hockey Ground Matital, Multipurpose Sports Complex and Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Multan during his visit. He expressed his satisfaction over the progress, pace and quality of construction work.
Talking on this occasion, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that Multan is a historic city and its land is very fertile. “Multan has always produced top class athletes of different games. Sports Department is providing best sports facilities to athletes of this region”.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial directed the officials concerned to optimally utilize the scheme area to construct a swimming pool at the scheme in next ADP as there is no swimming pool in entire Multan Division. He directed the sports officers to engage the youth of the region in the healthy sports activities to the maximum using the sports facilities of the division.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial, during his visit to Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Multan, directed the officers to build cricket pitches in the scheme and transform it to a multipurpose ground for youth and general public alike. He directed to complete the construction work of scheme before June this year.
