Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar in a statement on Saturday said that Punjab government, under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is taking all possible measures for the promotion of sports culture across the province.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the sports activities are on peak in the country. “Right now a major international cricket tournament - ICC Champions Trophy is in progress at Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Dubai,” he added.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Punjab Sports Department has organized Khelta Punjab Games, the biggest sports event of Punjab’s sports history in February quite successfully. “Several talented athletes have emerged through these sports competitions,” he added.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that Punjab province has several top performing athletes for the upcoming mega 35th National Games. “The top position holders in Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games and Khelta Punjab Games are being awarded scholarships from Sports Endowment Fund”.
