Sports culture will be promoted across the province in line with the vision of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz: Punjab Minister for Sports and Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the sports culture will be promoted across the province in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, he said this while addressing the grand inaugural ceremony of First Chief Minister Punjab Pink Games 2024 at Punjab Stadium on Thursday night.
Provincial Ministers Uzma Zahid Bokhari, Bilal Yasin, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, MPAs Hina Pervez Butt, Shahbaz Khokhar, Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial and Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Olympian Shabana Akhtar and other officials were also present on this occasion. Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar presented a souvenir to Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman on this occasion.
Addressing the mega ceremony, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has enhanced the value of our ceremony to a great extent. “We are going to prepare and groom 500 top male and female athletes of different games and these athletes will prove to be a valuable bench strength for different national teams”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said the exciting competitions of seven games including badminton, table tennis, archery, basketball, athletics, hockey and cricket (tape ball) have been started at different sports venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex in which around 1,300 female athletes from 20 universities are participating.
Earlier, 1,300 female athletes and team officials from 20 universities took part in march past. Besides this, eye -catching display of moving lights was presented in the mega opening ceremony. Hundreds of colourful balloons were also blown in the air.
