Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar visited Shahkot city, district Nankana Sahib where he inaugurated state-of-the-art Sports Gymnasium Hall and multi-purpose Sports Stadium on Thursday.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, District Sports Officer Nankana Sahib, ADC Nankana Sahib and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal and Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza on this occasion gave a detailed briefing to Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar.
Talking to media on this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that it is first time that state of the art sports stadiums are being constructed in villages and towns of the province. “The era of sports development has begun and now the development of sports will scale new heights in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said further said that sports complexes arte4 being built at village and tehsil levels in the Punjab province. “We are constructing a total of hundreds sports facilities in all parts of the province. The best players will be sent to foreign countries for modern training”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that more than 300 mega sports complexes will be developed across the province. “As many as 100 new sports complexes will be built in those areas where this valuable sports facility does not exist while 200 sports complexes will be rehabilitated”.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that our players will earn laurels for the country in international competitions. “Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is taking special interest in the development of sports sector and Punjab Sports Department is establishing top level sports facilities for the growth of sports culture among the younger generation,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal while talking at the inauguration ceremony of Shahkot Gymnasium said that these sports facilities are no less than a blessing for the youth. “Our youngsters are quite talented and they must avail these modern sports fully to polish their sports skills”.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal further said that Sports Board Punjab is utilizing all resources for the development of sports as per vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. “The provision of sports facilities to talented male and female athletes is our mission so that the promising athletes can offer handsome performance in international sports events”.
