Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal visited Gaushala sports stadium on Thursday where he was accompanied by Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah and Tehsil Sports Officer Ms Waqar Sikandar.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal inspected pitches, pavilions and different parts of cricket ground during his detailed visit and directed the staff to maintain top level cleanliness.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal was given a detailed briefing Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza about the Gaushala cricket ground and its prominent features.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal on this occasion said that a gymnasium hall, four badminton courts, mat wrestling, football ground, open and indoor gym for male and female will be constructed at this site.
DG Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal directed the officials concerned to add more sports facilities such as sports gymnasium etc at this venue. He also directed the officials to improve the condition of the ground so that the young players can take benefit from this sports facility to the maximum.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal said that Sports Board Punjab is providing best facilities to young talented players of the province to express their hidden sports abilities. “Sports Board Punjab is expanding the infrastructure to provide modern facilities to the players across the province in accordance with the vision of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz,” he added.
