Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial on Wednesday presided over an important meeting to review 81 sports schemes running across the province including Lahore.
Additional Secretary Sports Farhan Farooq, Deputy Secretary Planning Marhaba Naimat, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, Section Officer Zainab and other officers participated in the meeting. Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza gave a detailed briefing about the sports schemes.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial directed the officers concerned to complete the construction work of Elite Training Center by June this year. “The work of Contact Body Sports Center, Sports Medicine Clinic and state of the art International Squash Complex should be completed as soon as possible,” he added.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial issued instructions that the renovation of Punjab Stadium, the work of increasing the capacity of the stadium and upgradation of Nishtar Park Sports Complex should be completed by December of the ongoing year. “After the completion of these sports schemes, the sports culture will grow in the province in true sense,” he opined.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial also reviewed the budget of above-mentioned sports schemes. He also directed the officers concerned to submit a compact plan to complete these sports schemes in three phases.
