Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal visited different parts of Nishtar Park Sports Complex and reviewed state-of-the-art sports facilities on Tuesday.
During his detailed visit, DG Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal inspected Punjab International Swimming Complex, Tennis Courts, Tennis Stadium, NPSC E-Library and Youth Centre, Gymnasium Hall and Cycling Velodrome.
Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza gave a detailed briefing to Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal about multiple features of top class sports facilities. Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Director Admin M Kaleem, Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum, Deputy Directors Zahoor Ahmed, Ataur Rahman and Tariq Khanzada were also present on this occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal directed the officers concerned to improve the quality of cleanliness. “Top class facilities should be provided to all players at tennis courts, gymnasium hall and other sports venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex”.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal said that the officers concerned should visit educational institutions to invite students to the grounds for taking part in healthy physical activities. “Youth must come to the grounds and avail the sports facilities. The newly constructed Contact Body Sports Centre in Nishtar Park Sports Complex will be inaugurated soon,” he informed.
