Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail chairs an important meeting regarding distribution of Sports Endowment Fund among top performing players of Rising Punjab Games and U-16 Talent Hunt Programme

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail presided over an important meeting regarding distribution of Sports Endowment Fund among top performing players of Rising Punjab Games and U-16 Talent Hunt Programme at National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum and other officials attended the key meeting in person while all Divisional Sports Officers of the province participated in the meeting through video link.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the list of top performing players of Rising Punjab Games has been finalised and the process of awarding stipends will begin in the coming days. “The best players will be rewarded with stipends of Rs 70,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 per month in three categories A, B and C”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that a Sports Endowment Fund of Rs 2 billion has been established for the first time in the history of Punjab province. “The money of Sports Endowment Fund will be spent for the welfare of deserving and veteran players and the top performing deserving players will also be given monthly stipends”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the top performers will be selected in different Punjab teams for participation in National Games and other top sports events. “The top performing players of Rising Punjab Games will also be further groomed in training camps under the supervision of qualified coaches”.
