The Level-1 Badge-III Coaching Certification Course started under the auspices of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab at Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) on Monday.
More than 30 coaches, including sports teachers, divisional and provincial coaches and club trainers and coaches are attending the 5-day course being conducted on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail.
Principal ISSP Chand Parveen and Chief Instructor Hafeez Bhatti, Instructor Shaista Qaiser and Malik Nasir were also present on this occasion.
On the first day, health expert Dr Naseebullah Khan, master trainer Aqib Mehmood and nutrition expert Sara Farooqi delivered the insightful lectures.
Health expert Dr Naseebullah Khan delivered a lecture on the topic of health related and sports related fitness components, nutrition expert Sara Farooqi threw light on the subject of Nutrition and Performance.
During his lecture, master trainer Aqib Mehmood discussed anatomy, physiology, bones, skeletal system and muscular system. He also taught the participants about the sprains, strains, ligament, tendon and muscle fiber types during his in-depth lecture.
