A delegation of Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) called on Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail at his office at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. Deputy Director Ataur Rehman was also present on this occasion.
The SJAL delegation consisted of President SJAL Aqeel Ahmed, Secretary Ashraf Ch, Secretary Finance Ihtashamul Haq, senior journalists Yousaf Anjum, Ejaz Sheikh and Hafiz Shahbaz Ali.
Talking to the SJAL delegation, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that Sports Board Punjab is taking all possible measures for the promotion of sports across the province. “The development of sports will continue in all parts of the province”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail further said that Sports Board Punjab will continue to organize mega sports events to provide maximum playing opportunities to young talented athletes. “After the successful holding of Winter Games, now we are going to organise the Spring Games in the coming weeks”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that SJAL is playing an important role in the development of sports. “Sports journalists gave sufficient coverage to all sports activities of Sports Board Punjab. Literally, they played an effective role in the success of recently staged Rising Punjab Games 2024,” he added.
The SJAL delegation appreciated the effective steps taken by Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail for the growth of sports among the younger generation. “The successful holding of Rising Punjab Games and U-16 Talent Hunt Programme is definitely a big achievement”.
