Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail presided over an important meeting of Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
ISSP Principal Chand Parveen, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, Chief Instructor Hafeez Bhatti, Admin Officer Nasir Malik and Instructors Shaista Qaiser and Sajid Ali were also present in the meeting
Addressing the meeting Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the establishment of ISSP is definitely a revolutionary initiative of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab. "All provincial coaches are being imparted modern training at ISSP. Besides them, private coaches are also benefiting from this institute". He said that after two successful training sessions, now we are planning to conduct a third training course in the first week of March. "In this batch, 35 coaches will be trained by master trainers".
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail further said that Level 2 courses will also be conducted in Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab now. "The coaches who have passed Level 1 course will appear in a written test for Level 2 courses and only successful candidates will be able to take part in Level 2 training courses".
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab is playing an important role in the development of sports across the province.
