Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail presided over an important meeting to review the arrangements of upcoming grand Cash Award and Motorbike Distribution Ceremony scheduled to be held at Alhamra Complex, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam on Feb 2, 2024.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Director Youth Affairs/Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Rana Nadeem Anjum, Deputy Secretary Sports Marhaba Naimat, Deputy Directors Zahoor Ahmed, Ataur Rehman and four Divisional Sports Officers also attended the key meeting. Sports Board Punjab, on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, has already constituted 29 administrative committees for smooth holding of the mega ceremony.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that over 600 male and female athletes belonging to multiple sports disciplines, officials, tehsil sports officers and several dignitaries will participate in the grand cash award ceremony. “Duties and responsibilities have been assigned to dozens of top officials of Sports Board Punjab to organize this function in a befitting manner”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that hefty cash prizes of Rs 3 crore, 90 lakh will be distributed among the athletes who achieved top positions in different national and international sports competitions in the recent past. “150 motorcycles will also be given to Tehsil Sports Officers of Punjab who showed extraordinary performance in Punjab’s unique sports club registration campaign,” he added.
