Faisalabad division with 152 points won Rising Punjab Games 2024 Women’s Athletics title at Punjab Stadium on Wednesday. The second position went to Lahore division, which secured 89 points while Rawalpindi girls grabbed third position with 50 points.
In the Rising Punjab Games 2024 Men’s Athletics event, Sahiwal division clinched top position with 127 points while the next two positions were taken by Gujranwala and Faisalabad divisions with 95 and 85 points respectively.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail congratulated Faisalabad and Sahiwal athletes for winning Rising Punjab Games Athletics titles.
It is worth mentioning that the Rising Punjab Games sports competition is the first event under Sports Board Punjab’s Annual Sports Calendar Programme.
In Rising Punjab Games 2024 Table Tennis Championship, women teams of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions stormed into the Team Event semifinals after winning their respective quarterfinals at NPSC Gymnasium Hall.
The first Women’s Team Event semifinal will be played between Faisalabad and Sahiwal teams while Lahore and Rawalpindi teams will lock horns in the second semi final clash.
The first Men’s Team Event semifinal will be played between Faisalabad and Bahawalpur divisional teams while Lahore and Multan teams will vie for a place in the title clash in the second semifinal.
