Hamna Irshad of Gujranwala and M Ahmad Usman of Multan win U-16 Inter-Division Badminton Championship Girls and Boys Singles titles

Hamna Irshad of Gujranwala and M Ahmad Usman of Multan won the Girls and Boys Singles titles of U-16 Talent Hunt Programme Inter-Division Badminton Championship at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) Gymnasium Hall on Wednesday.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Dr Najeebullah were the guests of honour on this occasion.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Raja Jahangir Anwar, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, President Pakistan Badminton Federation Wajid Ali Ch, Assistant Director Zarina Waqar and Administrator NPSC Gymnasium Hall Mustfa Shah were also present on this occasion. President Pakistan Badminton Federation Wajid Ali Ch distributed prizes among the title winners and other position holders.
It is worth mentioning that the Under-16 Talent Hunt Programme Inter-Division Badminton Championship was organised under SBP Annual Sports Calendar Programme in which hundreds of male and female players and officials from across the province participated.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail congratulated Hamna Irshad of Gujranwala and M Ahmad Usman of Multan for winning Girls and Boys Singles titles of U-16 Talent Hunt Programme Inter-Division Badminton Championship.
According to details, in the Girls' Singles final, Hamna Irshad of Gujranwala thrashed Rawalpindi’s Sameen Faisal in straight sets by 21-10 and 21-18. The third position in this event also went to Gujranwala when Samha Naveed outplayed Pindi’s Ayesha Malik by 21-19 and 21-8.
In Boys’ Singles final, M Ahmad Usman of Multan toppled Khuzaima Shahzad of Faisalabad comfortably by 21-17, 21-16. The third position in Boys’ Singles event was taken by Lahore’s Shahzaib Gilani who trounced M Haseeb of Bahawalpur by 21-14, 21-17.
