Sports Board Punjab to organise Rising Punjab Games 2024 from January 18 to February 2

Making a big announcement Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz has said 0that Sports Board Punjab is going to organise Rising Punjab Games 2024 at different sports venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) from January 18 to February 2.
Sharing more details of the grand event in a statement on Monday, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports Wahab Riaz said that the competitions of six sports disciplines - hockey, volleyball, football, badminton, athletics and table tennis will be conducted during Rising Punjab Games. “Rustam-e-Punjab Dangal will be staged on January 28 while more than 950 players from all divisions of Punjab will participate in more than 200 competitions during the 16-day Rising Punjab Games”.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports said that  hefty cash prizes of Rs 1.5 crores (Rs 15 million) will be distributed during Rising Punjab Games. “The prize money of each game in the grand event is Rs 25 lakh. The players who will exhibit outstanding performance in the Rising Punjab Games will be given monthly stipend of Rs 70,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 for one year on the basis of their performance”.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports Wahab Riaz further said that all possible steps will be taken for the development of sports and players. “We are quite upbeat that the emerging players of the Rising Punjab Games will win laurels for the country in future”.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports Wahab Riaz informed that the winning players of Rising Punjab Games will be given more training by setting up camps under the supervision of qualified coaches. “Sports Board Punjab will also make suitable arrangements for imparting quality education to all talented players. Besides this, the Annual Sports Calendar competitions will be held every year,” he revealed.
