Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that Christian community is an important part of our society and playing a key role in the development of the country; he expressed these views at a cake-cutting ceremony held to express solidarity with the Christian community in connection with upcoming Christmas Day at National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum and Deputy Director Ataur Rahman, Assistant Director Nabil Akram, Kamal Uddin and Muhammad Wasim, APCA Directorate General of Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Unit President Fiaz Ali were also present on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail cut a cake and wished merry Christmas to all Christian staffers on this occasion. A Christmas tree was also decorated on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail congratulated the Christian employees on this auspicious occasion. “Sports Board Punjab will continue to take appropriate measures for the welfare of Christian employees,” he added.
He appreciated Christian community for rendering valuable contributions in their respective fields. “All the members of Christian community are very patriotic and they have a significant role in the progress of the country,” he added.
