Five-day Track and Field Course of Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) began under the instructions of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Monday.
The high-profile course is being organized to impart the top level training to 20 provincial and divisional coaches including three females in the second phase of elite training. ISSP Principal Chand Parveen, Chief Instructor Hafeez Bhatti, and Instructor Shaista was also present on this occasion.
On the first day of a high-profile training course, Master trainer Abid Amin delivered separate insightful lectures on Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition and Sports in the morning session at Punjab Stadium.
He shared the modern knowledge of Strength and Conditioning with the help of different demos, examples and slides. He also threw light on the importance of vitamins and multiple nutrients during his detailed lecture.
Later, the coaches also participated in a practice session at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall in which Master trainer Abid Amin delivered a lecture about different exercises, techniques on how to lift weights, posture alignments and movements of body parts during exercises.
