Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail announces to open ISSP for public and private sector coaches and trainers to come and polish their skills in their respective fields

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail chaired the important meeting of Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
The high-profile meeting was convened to discuss key issues regarding formulation and development of ISSP syllabus and take other important decisions. The meeting was attended by ISSP Principal Chand Parveen, Chief Instructor Hafeez Bhatti and Instructor Sajid Ali.
Besides them, the experts of sports sciences, medical and other relevant fields including Dr Misaq Rizvi, Dr Asad Abbas, Dr Abid Amin, Dr Asghar Javed, Dr Tahir Nazir, Dr. Nauman Saeed, Dr. Naseeb ullah Khan, M Atif Shafiq, Tariq Sidhu, Talha Iftikhar, Zia ud Din Barki and M Faisal Abid also participated in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail has announced to open Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) for public and private sector coaches and trainers to come and polish their skills in their respective fields. “Our platform is open to coaches and trainers of all games including private clubs. We say welcome to them to come here and enhance their capacity building using our unique facility”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the purpose of inviting master trainers and experts is to develop the syllabus and curriculum of ISSP. “The master trainer will teach modern techniques and skills to our coaches at Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP) and make them able to produce true sports stars, who can win medals in international sports competitions”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that we have divided our coaching programme in two categories – one for coaches of SBP and sports associations and the other for coaches from public sector including private clubs. “Our master trainers will spread awareness about self defence, nutrition etc in their lectures. The knowledge of permitted and non-permitted supplements will also be shared with the trainees”.
