Ground-less schools can use sports venues of Sports Board Punjab for their sports activities: Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz

Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz has announced that the schools which do not have their own grounds, can use sports venues of Sports Board Punjab for their sports activities and events; he made this announcement while talking to media during visit to Govt Shuhda-e-APS School Model Town on Monday.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz, who also visited nearby Govt Junior Model High School, inspected different sports facilities on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz was accompanied by Director Youth Affairs and Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Rana Nadeem Anjum, PRO to Adviser to CM Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan and District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah during his twin visits.
Principals of Govt APS School Model Town and Govt Junior Model High School Rana Atta Muhammad and M Saeed Malik, dozens of teachers and a large number of students were also present on this occasion.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz inspected sports facilities including hockey astro-turf and cricket ground and played cricket and table tennis with school students in both the educational institutions.
Talking to media at Govt APS School Model Town, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that Sports Board Punjab is taking effective measures for improving the sports facilities in schools on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi. “Definitely, there are some issues when it comes to school sports and work is underway to resolve these issues and improve the sports infrastructure in schools,” he added.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that an effective sports plan is being devised for schools and this plan will be finalized within a period of one week. “The sports culture will be promoted in schools according to this sports plan,” he added.
Answering a question regarding sports grounds in schools, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that the grounds in schools played a key role in providing a healthy atmosphere to young students. “There is no doubt that schools are incomplete without grounds”.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz on this occasion directed the officers concerned to provide all necessary sports gear to school students.
