Annual calendar of youth affairs activities is being formulated: Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Dr Asif Tufail

Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that several youth affairs activities are being organized in December where our talented youth could demonstrate their potential adequately. “Besides this, the annual calendar of youth affairs activities is also being formulated. Working on Youth Exchange Programme among the provinces of the country is also in progress,” he expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting of representatives of youth and several NGOs at the National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum, Deputy Director Attaur Rehman and other officials participated in the important meeting which was convened to find ways and means to engage youth of the country in constructive and healthy activities.  
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the purpose of today’s meeting is to prepare a roadmap for the guidance of youth. “There is no doubt that our country has been blessed with 64 per cent youth and Punjab Youth Affairs Department is taking all possible measures for providing these youth a suitable platform to learn modern earning skills. After getting proper training, these youngsters could contribute sufficiently in the development of the country in multiple fields”.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that it is beyond doubt that the young generation is the future of our country and that’s why we are paying special attention to their character and career building. “It is very important to spread awareness among young boys and girls about the serious harms of electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops and drug addiction as well”.
Representatives of several NGOs including Sabeeha Shaheen, Iqbal Haider, Javed, Osama Nasir, Ammara Manzoor, Meherbano, Fareeha, Faiza Maham and Qasim Mumtaz belonging to leading NGOs such as Bargad, Faces Pakistan, VSO, FOF and Chanan were also present on this occasion.
Representatives of several NGOs shared a number of valuable ideas through which a large number of youth of the country could be transformed into useful and skilled citizens. They also stressed key measures for saving young boys and girls from the menace of drugs and electronic devices.
