Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail presided over a high-profile meeting regarding tracing fresh cricket talent from SBP’s Faisalabad and Sialkot High Performance Centers at his office at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
Top officials from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) including Director Domestic Cricket Nadeem Khan, Director Legal Affairs Bilal Raza, Senior General Manager Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia, General Manager Finance Bilal Haneef and Malik Aslam also attended the important meeting.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, SBP Consultant Legal Affairs Ikram Bari were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the construction work of state-of-the-art Sialkot and Faisalabad Cricket High Performance Centers have been completed as per international standard. “These are state of the art Cricket Centers where all modern facilities like swimming pool, gymnasium etc have been provided to players,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the prime objective of SBP’s Faisalabad and Sialkot High Performance Centers is to unearth new local cricket talent from these regions. “These facilities are no less than a blessing for the youth of these areas and they must learn modern cricket techniques and polish their skills at these High Performance Centers,” he added.
Director Domestic Cricket Nadeem Khan on this occasion said that Sports Board Punjab has constructed wonderful High Performance Centers for the promotion of cricket.
