Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz has announced a huge cash prize of Rs 2 million for Olympian para-athlete Hyder Ali, who clinched gold medal in Men’s Discus Throw event at the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz in a statement on Wednesday said that a hefty cash reward has been announced for Haider Ali on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi. “This is not the first time Haider Ali has excelled in international competitions. He also won a gold medal for Pakistan in the discus throw event at the Tokyo Paralympic Games”.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that para-athlete Haider Ali is the pride of Pakistan. “Punjab Sports Department will continue to encourage and appreciate the top performing national athletes.
