Pakistan White defeated Pakistan Green team by 37-24 in ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival Kabaddi Taakra title clash

Veteran international kabaddi star Musharraf Janjua’s team Pakistan White defeated Pakistan Green team by a margin of 37-24 in a thrilling ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival Kabaddi Taakra title clash at Punjab Stadium on Sunday.
It is worth mentioning that Sports Board Punjab is holding sports events of ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail was the Chief Guest at ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival Kabaddi Taakra event. He was warmly received and presented bouquet upon reaching the venue. Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail was introduced with all kabbadi players and technical officials before the match.
Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Rana Nadeem Anjum, Deputy Director Zahoor Ahmed, PbOA Secretary General Idris Haider Khawaja, Assistant Directors M Waseem, M Sajid, provincial hockey coach Razia Malik, Secretary Punjab Kabaddi Association Tahir Waheed Jatt, Kabaddi World Cup winning captain Irfan Mana and other senior officials were also present on this occasion.
Besides them, a large number of kabaddi enthusiasts were also present on this occasion. Kabaddi lovers presented traditional ‘Bhangra’ on the beat of drums to celebrate the great occasion.
Talking to media, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival sports events are being staged for the promotion of sports culture among the youth of the province. “Kabaddi is our traditional game and most popular sport among the young generation of our province”.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail Sports Board Punjab and Sports Department are striving hard for the growth of sports among the youth as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
He said that after the kabaddi event, the exciting taekwondo competitions will be conducted at NPSC Gymnasium Hall on November 7 and the ‘Lahore Lahore Aye Festival’ sports events will culminate on November 12 with another mega event of Rustam-e-Punjab Dangal.
Dr Asif Tufail informed that Sports Board Punjab has already organized thrilling sports events of ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival such as male, female Mini Marathon, Road Cycling, male, female hockey and wushu during the last one week. “These sports events provided a great amount of entertainment and inspiration to the younger generation of Punjab province,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival is providing a suitable platform to hundreds of talented athletes of different games to exhibit their sports skills and potential at a bigger stage.
Later, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail distributed shields among the technical officials and prizes among the participating kabaddi teams. The winning team was awarded a cheque of Rs 2 lakh while the runners up pocketed a cash prize of Rs one lakh.
