Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz inaugurates international standard swimming pool at GCU

Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz has inaugurated an international standard swimming pool project at Government College University (GCU) on Tuesday.
GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi, Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hasan, Deputy Director Rauf Bajwa, Project Director PMU Sports Board Punjab Qaiser Raza and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that an international standard swimming pool complex has been constructed in Government College University by the Department of Sports Punjab. "The project has been completed with an amount of Rs.15 crore in a short period of 18 months".
He said that the team of the Project Management Unit Sports Board Punjab deserved full credit for the excellent execution of the project.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz further said that this swimming pool is equipped with all modern facilities and it is no less than a blessing for the students. "The Punjab Sports Department is establishing modern sports facilities across the province," he added.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz informed that top class swimming pool projects have been constructed in Lahore, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan and Rawalpindi. "We are quite hopeful that these projects will help a lot in developing swimming talent in the province."
Praising the role of GCU, Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that Government College is the leading educational institution of the country and it has always played an important role in the promotion of sports.
