Sports Board Punjab, on the instructions of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, organized an online training session for the awareness of the modern swimming rules at National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
All the senior and divisional coaches of the province participated in the important training session through video link. Chief Sports Consultant Hafeez Bhatti delivered a lecture to coaches about the modern rules of swimming.
Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Tariq Khanzada, Deputy Director Sports Chand Parveen, Assistant Director Sports M Waseem and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Hafeez Bhatti informed the coaches that swimmers are usually disqualified by making a wrong start in their swimming heat due to lack of knowledge about the modern rules of swimming. He said it is the obligation of coaches to teach their players how to start and finish their swimming competition as per modern rules.
Hafeez Bhatti informed the coaches about how to avoid mistakes and violations of swimming rules during a competition and what are the modern requirements of the swimming game.
