Noor Malik, Esha Jawad storm into semifinal in Ladies Singles category of Sheikhoo Steel Pakistan Open Tennis Championship at the state-of-the-art SBP Tennis Courts

Exhibiting extraordinary performance Noor Malik and Esha Jawad cruised into the semifinal of Sheikhoo Steel Pakistan Open Tennis Championship 2023 after winning their respective quarterfinal matches in the Ladies Singles category at the state-of-the-art SBP Tennis Courts, Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Wednesday.

It is worth mentioning that the week-long Sheikhoo Steel Pakistan Open Tennis Championship 2023 is being conducted with the collaboration of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) till October 6.

As per details, in Ladies Singles Quarter Final matches, Noor Malik thrashed Rahat ul Ain by 6-0, 6-0 quite comfortably in the first quarterfinal match, however, Esha Jawad had to face some sort of resistance from Soha Ali in the second quarterfinal match. Esha won her match with the score of 6-2, 6-4.

In the men’s singles pre-quarterfinals, veteran tennis star Aqeel Khan beat Hasheesh Kumar by 6-1, 6-1 and Abdullah Adnan toppled Bilal Asim 6-1, 6-2.

Former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik and Arif Feroze outplayed Kamran Qureshi/Ashiq by 6-0, 6-0 in the seniors’ 55-plus doubles quarterfinals. Israr Gul/Humayun Pervez edged out Dr Arif/ Zia Ullah 6-4, 6-4, Amir Altaf/Abid Malik beat Dr ShahzadSaleem/Ali Qayum 6-0, 6-2 and Waqar Nisar/Inam ul Haq crushed Ch Khalil/Dr Sajid Pervez 6-1, 6-0 in the same category.

As many as 350 players from across the country are participating in the championship. The final of the week-long championship will be played on Oct 6, 2023.
