Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department on the directions of Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Shahid Zaman, organized a webinar on the eve of World Youth Skills Day on Friday.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan was the chief guest of the webinar which was moderated by Miss Mehreen.
Panelists Miss Iqra Hameed (Tech Women Alumni/Systems), Miss Nida Rasool (Payoneer), Miss Gulali khan (LUMS), Miss Gul Ziba (CEO of Redmarker Systems/Executive Member RCCI), Ayesha Zaman (CEO Skills Todo) and Roshaan Sheikh (Tech Women Pakistan - UI/UX expert) participated in the webinar.
Addressing the webinar, Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan said that the Youth Affairs Department has taken a number of initiatives during the last two years for the development of talented youth of the province. “We have already started the process of forming the Provincial Youth Coordination Commission under the chairman of Planning and Development (P&D). All the relevant departments of youth skill development are being included in this commission”.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan said that the Youth Affairs Department is working quite effectively for the development of youth under the supervision of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan further said that the Youth Affairs Department is striving to engage hundred percent youth of the province such as higher education, school education and Tevta in the constructive activities of youth development. “We are planning to develop a mechanism on the eve of International Youth Day which will be celebrated on August 12, 2023, to empower our youth with the help of all stakeholders”.
Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan urged the youth to focus on skill development and in this way they can play a vital role in the growth of the national economy. “We will also hold a conference with all stakeholders in future to make true progress in the field of skill development”.
