Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab (SBP) organize Anti-Dengue Walk

Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab (SBP) organized an Anti-Dengue Walk outside the Punjab Stadium here on Monday. The Anti-Dengue Awareness Walks were conducted across the province under the banner of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab and Sports Board Punjab (SBP).
The Anti-Dengue Walk was led by Additional Secretary Sports Nabeela Irfan and was participated by several officers including Deputy Secretary Sports Liaqat Ali, District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah, Section Officer Mirza Nadeem and Administrator Punjab Stadium Rehmatullah Sial and a large number of people from different walks of life.
Talking on this occasion, Additional Secretary Sports Nabeela Irfan termed the dengue mosquito a fatal weapon against human health and appealed to the people not to allow stagnant rainy water in their houses. “Punjab Sports Department is taking every possible measure for the eradication of dengue but this goal cannot be achieved without the cooperation of general public,” she said.
She said the anti-dengue preventive measures required effective efforts by the entire society along with the governmental steps to eradicate dengue from the country.
