Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games 2022 will begin under the aegis of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex from Nov 30 to Dec 2, 2022.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali met with Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and discussed different issues including arrangements for the holding of Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games. Director Admin Syed Umair Hassan and District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah were also present on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi on this occasion said that the opening ceremony of these games will be held at National Hockey Stadium on Nov 30 (Wednesday). “Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab will provide all possible facilities for a befitting organization of Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi informed that the U-13 and U-16 boys and girls sports competitions will be conducted during the 3-day Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games. “U-13 girls will feature in six sports disciplines including aerobics, athletics, badminton, table tennis, taekwondo, swimming while U-13 boys will take part in seven games including athletics, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, martial arts, roller sports and swimming”.
“On the other hand, U-16 girls are scheduled to participate in eight events of archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, karate, table tennis, tug of war and martial arts while U-16 boys will show their talent in athletics, badminton, basketball, football, hockey, kabaddi, kick boxing, rowing, table tennis, taekwondo, tug of war, volleyball, martial arts and wrestling,” he added.
