Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games 2022 will prove to be a useful event for tracing fresh talented athletes of different games: Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi

As many as 8,000 male and female students from over 500 public and private schools will participate in Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games 2022; this information was shared by Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali while addressing a press conference at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.

Director Admin Syed Umair Hassan, PRO SBP Abdul Rauf Roofi and other officials were also present on this occasion.

Addressing the press conference, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games 2022 will prove to be a useful event for tracing fresh talented young male and female athletes of different games. “The talented players of Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games 2022 will be groomed further at sports academies established by Sports Board Punjab,” he added.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi further said that Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games will be organized jointly by Sports Department Punjab and Lahore district administration. “Sports Board Punjab is fully cooperating and providing all possible facilities for a befitting holding of Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex”.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that Sports Board Punjab (SBP) is organising U-13 Talent Hunt Programme 2022 from Tehsil to Divisional level across the province. “Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games will be helpful to a great extent in locating potential young athletes for U-13 Talent Hunt Programme”.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali on this occasion informed, “Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games are being organized with the collaboration of Sports Board Punjab. The participants of games will feature in 20 Under-13 and U-16 sports disciplines”.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali further said that the objective of these games is to promote sports at grassroots level. “We are thankful to Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi for extending best sports facilities for the holding of Deputy Commissioner Lahore School Games,” he added.
