Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab arranges visit to Javed Manzil and Mazar-e-Iqbal under the title of ‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’ in connection with 145th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal

Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab has arranged a visit to Javed Manzil and Mazar-e-Iqbal on double decker tourist bus under the title of ‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’ in connection with 145th birth anniversary of the national poet Allama Iqbal on Wednesday.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta cut the ribbon and sent off the ‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’ to Javed Manzil and Mazar-e-Iqbal at Punjab Stadium.

Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan, Assistant Director of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Ms Hina, Project Director Tourist Bus Ashfaq Ahmed Dogar, PRO SBP Abdul Rauf Roofi and a large number of male and female students of different colleges were also present on this occasion.

On arrival at Javed Manzil, Muneeb Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal, welcomed Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta and other participants. The Tourism Squad also presented parade on this occasion. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta and Muneeb Iqbal paid tribute to Allama Iqbal and laid a wreath of flowers at Javed Manzil.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta said that living nations celebrate the days of their heroes in a grand manner. “Allama Iqbal gave a new hope and encouragement to the nation. The youth are Shaheen of Allama Iqbal”.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta further said that Allama Iqbal spread the awareness about ‘Khudi’ among the youth of the sub-continent through his revolutionary poetry. “It is right time for our youth to follow Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi. By doing so, our youth can save Pakistan from several prevailing challenges”.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta further said that the visit to Javed Manzil and Mazar Iqbal have been arranged only to make the young generation aware of the thoughts of Allama Iqbal. “Department of Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab has started many programmes to guide the youth of the province”.

Muneeb Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal, speaking on this occasion said that Allama Iqbal had many expectations from the youth. “The present day youth must understand the philosophy of Allama Iqbal and try to follow it in their

practical lives”. He urged the youth to study Allama Iqbal and understand his philosophy”.

Muneeb Iqbal also threw light on the life and poetry of his grandfather Allama Iqbal and the stories he heard about him from his father late Justice Javed Iqbal. He also shared the details of historic meetings of Quaid-e-Azam and Jawahar Lal Nehru with Allama Iqbal at Javed Manzil.

At the end of the ceremony, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Ehsan Bhutta gave souvenirs to Muneeb Iqbal, the grandson of Allama Iqbal. Certificates were also given to the students who visited Javed Manzil and Mazar-e-Iqbal.
